We meet in one anothers’ homes (and sometimes cafes and pubs!) each week to explore the Bible, discuss faith and life, worship God and explore ways of reaching out to others. We know that as Jesus lived on the earth and travelled around with his friends, they would regularly stop and take time to think, discuss, encourage and pray with each another. Its so important to meet with other Christians on a regular basis, and to learn what it means to truly be followers of Jesus – we’re not meant to do this on our own.
We also enjoy socialising together, and deepening our friendships, which includes good food and drink. Hospitality is very important, and opening our homes is a great way to make sure new people feel welcome. This is something the early church did all the time:
“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47)
