School Holiday Lunches
One of the key aims of Leslie Baptist Church is to show how our faith in Jesus makes a difference in our local community.
Over the past three years we have engaged with local families to ease holiday hunger, firstly through hot meals and then packed lunches when covid restrictions were brought in.
This is funded through personal giving, working with Fife Council, a local Foodbank and local supermarkets. Each school holiday, families are given bags of groceries and a daily substantial lunch for each member of the family. Through this we have gotten to know many families in the village who now consider us their friends.
Looking to the future when restrictions ease, our lunchtime café will return creating a friendly place for the community and church family to meet, eat and enjoy a place where it is ok not to be ok.
Cooking classes will restart, cooking together healthy, economical meals in a friendly atmosphere.
Our Toddlers group takes place every Monday and Friday from 9:00-11:00am during school term time.
We look forward to welcoming folks back to this group after a long break due to covid and our building project.
Come along for a chance to interact with other parents and children and enjoy tea/coffee and a chat. We have lots of fun games and toys for the children to enjoy!
